Legality in action, iniquity bent… civic focus

Misery can have two different meanings in fact it can indicate a state of extreme poverty to satisfy the most material needs of life but the term can also refer to a condition of moral or spiritual suffering. For me I see or use misery mainly in economic matters however for me it also has an intellectual meaning, that is when one is miserable of intelligence or similar. A form of misery among peers can be the phenomenon of bullying widespread in schools as happened in a middle school in Northern Italy where some kids persecuted another more timid and introverted boy starting with daily insults and teasing to then arrive at making a systematic exclusion from groups and also physical assaults, this boy out of fear and shame remained silent but the parents noticed certain changes of mood and bruises and therefore then filed a complaint. We also have another case of misery which however this ends in a positive way with redemption and we are talking about the case of Roberto Saviano who is a writer and journalist from Campania who lived in the territories of the camorra and instead of bending to it he decided to tell it and denounce to the whole world with his book “Gomorra”, the price to pay for him was high however in fact he has lived under escort for twenty years and has given up a normal life. The presides of legality are tools, institutions and people that guarantee the respect of the rules and the protection of the rights of us citizens, in Italy the main ones are: the law enforcement and the judiciary and with them operate organisms like the Constitutional Court and the Guarantor of children’s rights, there are also people who act as presides of legality like investigative journalists who unmask corruption and illegality and there are also teachers who educate in the respect of the rules. The behaviors that I use in the respect of common rights are for example respecting the will of the other, when it is right or when it does not undermine the rights of others, or even denouncing certain wrong behaviors because I too suffered bullying in the past and therefore when someone undermines the common rights of others I think that we must not ignore or suffer for fear of retaliation but we must have courage because whoever undermines these rights is miserable of humanity.
